Abstract:
Dr Ko Wing-man, BBS, JP, MBBS, FRCS( Edin), FHKAM ( Orthopaedic Surgery), Specialist in Orthopaedics & Traumatology. He possesses rich experience of overseeing public healthcare and medical services in Hong Kong, in particular overseeing the management of Hong Kong Hospital Authority for more than 10 years. Dr. Ko was appointed Secretary for Food and Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government on 1 July 2012

Dr Ko has also dedicated for the development of Hong Kong and mainland public healthcare services. He has been the President of China-Hong Kong Society of Medical & Health Services, Director of International Foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Development Ltd and formerly President of Hong Kong Association for Integration of Chinese-Western Medicine Limited.

Dr Ko is dedicated to community health services. He is currently the Hong Kong Red Cross’s Director and Chairman of Health & Care Service Management Committee. He was formerly the Vice Chairperson of International & Relief Service Management Committee of Hong Kong Red Cross and Vice Chairman of International Drug Abuse Treatment Foundation. Dr Ko is currently the Vice President of Hong Kong Health Education and Health Promotion Foundation, Trustee of Fight Cancer with Love International Charitable Foundation of Tai Shan Charitable Association Ltd. and Honorary Advisor of Hong Kong Cornea Concern Association. Dr Ko was appointed the Non-official Justice of Peace in 2001 and awarded Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Chief Executive in 2008.
