Lai Chi Wo, surrounded by hills and bordered with mangrove along the shoreline, is one of the most well conserved Hakka villages in Hong Kong. Since 2013, Lai Chi Wo has developed as one of the most successful multi-stakeholders collaborations (Public, Private & Conversational partnerships) to promote ecological conservation in the village farmlands . In 2017, “The Lai Chi Wo Management Scheme @ Lai Chi Wo Enclave” executed by the Hong Kong Countryside Foundation and the Conservancy Association with the support of the Environment and Conservation Fund to promotes the practice of eco-friendly farming, connect people with nature as well as sustain man and biodiversity across generations. Under the COVID-19 pandemic this year, their signature event LAI CHI WO HARVEST FUN FAIR 2020 will be held from December 5-13 both online and offline. Visitors and interested parties are welcome to join either online broadcasts or on-site activities under the theme of “For Love of Water” (FLOW), encompassing artistic and educational elements, will be launched to celebrate the joy of autumn harvest with the public.
