Detail: Read to Feed encourages children aged 3-14 to read while collecting sponsorship from parents, friends and relatives based on the number of books read, units of time read or a single donation. Funds collected will be pooled to help the impoverished families in rural China become self-reliant through gifts of livestock and training. Ultimately, the program will foster in children a love of reading, a passion to help others and a desire to create a better world!
Donations this year will be pooled into the “Sustainable Livelihoods Development Project in Yi Ethnic Groups of Liangshan Prefecture in Sichuan”, which aims to assist 1, 000 families to relieve their livelihood and alleviate poverty.
