The younger generation is taking matters into their own hands as they initiate their plans to combat world poverty. The “Take a pledge” campaign is the promise of students to give away a tenth of their annual earnings to a charity of their choice in order to relieve suffering caused by extreme poverty.

The pledge has expanded and turned into a global phenomenon, where people have adopted this refreshing and progressive approach to charitable giving. Students from the top universities and institutions have participated in the pledge and have, so far, reached an estimated total of £13m.
