Hong Kong should acknowledge and celebrate World Environmental Day on 5th of June (first initiated by United Nations) in its own special Green way!
Hong Kong Green Day (HKGD) will be the ideal occasion and opportunity to increase public awareness and interest regarding greater environmental responsibility and protection, as well as transforming into a greener community.
Organized by Green Council, this inaugural event will inspire people to wear and display green in their clothing and/or accessories – including special first-ever commemorative pins – as well as stimulate creative and original planning and implementation of initiatives and activities in support of the event theme. This Event is expected to establish and strengthen citizens’ attitudes on the indivisible relationship between environmental protection and healthy and good quality lifestyles.
