Organisation: Green Sense
Detail: Green Sense Charity Hike 2016 is our annual fund-raising event, aiming in arising the public interest and concern for the natural environment. This year, we select the desirable “Dragon’s Back”, Hong Kong Trail #8 in Shek O Country Park. The full view of Tai Tam Harbour, Stanley and Redhill Peninsula comes into sight after reaching the Dragon’s Back. The spectacular vision extends to the trail we trekked last year (Clearwater Bay) and Kowloon East. Check points with information of the route and nearby environment may give you more insights into our hometown.
By sharing the information about the trail, and the impacts of urban development towards natural environment, we hope participants to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the countryside and spend a weekend joyfully, while comprehending the unique environment of Hong Kong. After realising the importance of green living individually, household, and in the community, we may together treasure and protect our natural resources for the sake of the future generation, both locally and globally.
