Founded in 2014 in honour of  Majesty The Queen’s 60-year contribution to the Commonwealth, the Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. Winners will receive a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK during which they will collect their Award from Her Majesty The Queen in summer 2018. With this support, Award winners will be expected to continue and develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities.

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 29 throughout 2018 (i.e. date of birth must fall between 1st January 1989 – 1st January 2000), a citizen of a Commonwealth country, including Bangladesh, Brunei, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka of Asia (Please refer to all Commonwealth of Nations here) and working to improve the lives of others.  As all funding has now been allocated and applications for grants are closed. There is no cash prize this year.
